AI Archive Beta: Own Your AI Thinking
How Data Wallets transform AI conversations into verifiable intellectual property
The Problem: Your Thinking Belongs to Others
Every day, millions of professionals, researchers, and creators have profound conversations with AI. They develop methodologies, solve complex problems, document their thought processes, and create valuable intellectual work. Yet this thinking exists only in corporate databases—owned by platform providers, not the creators.
When you have a breakthrough conversation with Claude Code about system architecture, or develop a research methodology through iterative dialogue with ChatGPT, that intellectual work has real value. It's evidence of when you thought it, how you approached the problem, and what solutions you developed. But without proof of origin and ownership, it's just text in someone else's database.
Why AI Conversations Are Different
AI conversations aren't like casual chat. They're intellectual labor:
- Patent Defense: "We discussed this approach six months before that filing"
- Methodology Documentation: "Here's how we developed our process, with timestamped iterations"
- IP Protection: "We can prove when we conceived this idea"
- Research Records: "Complete audit trail of our hypothesis development"
- Project Context: "Everything we explored, not just what made it to production"
This is knowledge work that deserves the same protections as lab notebooks, design documents, and research notes. It needs Origin²: proof of WHO created it and WHEN.
How AI Archive Works
AI Archive applies Rootz Data Wallet technology to AI conversations, creating verifiable ownership of your thinking:
1. Genesis Block: Immutable Origin
When you archive a conversation, we create a Data Wallet with a genesis block recording:
- WHO: Signed by your device's hardware-backed key
- WHAT: AI conversation with specified platform (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
- WHEN: Blockchain timestamp proving existence at that moment
- WHERE: Your device, your domain, your authenticated identity
2. Content Storage: Your Keys Only
The conversation content is encrypted with keys only you control:
- Hardware-backed encryption using your device's TPM/Secure Enclave
- Stored on decentralized infrastructure (IPFS) or your preferred storage
- Content hash recorded on blockchain for integrity verification
- We can't read it. The AI platform can't access it. Only you can decrypt it.
3. Searchable Archive: Find Your Thinking
Your encrypted archive remains searchable on your devices:
- Full-text search across all archived conversations
- Filter by date, platform, files discussed, tools used
- Semantic search to find related concepts
- Project-based organization for complex work
Real-World Applications
Software Development
A startup's technical team uses Claude Code daily. Six months later, they face a patent dispute. Their AI Archive shows timestamped conversations proving they developed their approach months before the competitor's filing. The blockchain timestamps are cryptographically verifiable—not just database entries that could be backdated.
Academic Research
A researcher develops a novel methodology through iterative conversations with ChatGPT. Their AI Archive provides complete documentation of the methodology's evolution—every hypothesis tested, every refinement made, with cryptographic timestamps. This becomes supporting evidence for their publication and grant applications.
Creative Work
A writer develops characters, plot structures, and world-building through AI conversations. Their AI Archive proves when they created these elements—essential for copyright protection and derivative work disputes. The blockchain timestamp shows they conceived the idea on a specific date, long before publication.
The Technology Stack
AI Archive combines multiple Rootz innovations:
Hardware-Backed Signatures
Your device's TPM (Trusted Platform Module) or Secure Enclave generates signatures that can't be faked. When you archive a conversation, your device signs it with a key that never leaves the secure hardware. This proves the conversation existed on your device at that specific time.
Blockchain Timestamps
Each archive gets a permanent, immutable timestamp on the blockchain. This isn't just a database entry—it's cryptographic proof of existence at a specific moment in time. The timestamp can't be altered, backdated, or removed.
Identity Contract
Your identity is a smart contract managing all your device keys. Lose your phone? Revoke that device key—your identity and all your archives remain intact. The identity contract ensures continuity even as you move between devices.
Encrypted Storage
Content is encrypted before it leaves your device. Storage can be:
- Decentralized (IPFS): Content-addressed storage with redundancy
- Local: Your own devices for complete air-gapped control
- Enterprise: Compliant storage with same encryption guarantees
Cross-Platform Support
AI Archive works with multiple AI platforms:
Claude Code (MCP Integration)
Native integration through Model Context Protocol. Conversations are automatically captured with full context—files discussed, tools used, code generated. The archive includes metadata about the development session, making it easy to find specific projects.
Browser-Based Platforms
Browser extension for ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini, and others. Captures full conversation history with user control over what gets archived. Works across platforms, creating a unified archive of your AI thinking.
API Access
Direct API integration for custom applications. Archive conversations from your own tools, with the same cryptographic guarantees. Programmatic access to your archive for building custom workflows.
Privacy and Control
AI Archive is built on privacy-by-design principles:
- Your keys, your data: We can't decrypt your conversations
- No platform access: AI providers don't get additional access to your archived conversations
- Selective sharing: Grant temporary access to specific conversations for collaboration
- Complete deletion: You control retention—permanently delete archives when desired
- Audit trail: Know who accessed what, when, and under what permissions
Beta Access
We're opening AI Archive to founding users in early 2026. Beta participants get:
- Early access: Be among the first to own your AI thinking
- Founding user pricing: Special rates that stay with you as the product evolves
- Direct support: Work directly with our team to shape the product
- Complete history: Archive all your past conversations, not just new ones
- Priority features: Your use cases drive development priorities
The Future of AI Thinking
As AI becomes more integral to knowledge work, the distinction between "your thinking" and "AI-assisted thinking" dissolves. What matters is the intellectual work you do—the problems you solve, the methods you develop, the insights you generate.
AI Archive ensures that work is yours. With cryptographic proof of when you thought it and hardware-backed encryption ensuring only you can access it, your AI conversations become verifiable intellectual property.
This isn't about creating more data—it's about making the data you're already creating valuable. Every conversation with AI is knowledge work. Now it can be knowledge you own.
