Privacy Policy
Effective: February 19, 2026
Our Approach to Privacy
Rootz Corp ("Rootz," "we," "us") builds infrastructure where origin and ownership are native to data. We believe privacy should be built into architecture, not bolted on as an afterthought. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we handle it.
What We Don't Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not use cookies
- We do not use analytics or tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no pixels)
- We do not serve advertisements
- We do not create user accounts on this website
- We do not use third-party tracking services
- We do not sell or share personal data
What We Do Collect
Server Logs
Like all web servers, ours records standard HTTP access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type). These logs are used for security monitoring and debugging. They are not analyzed for tracking purposes and are rotated regularly.
AI Discovery Scanner
When you use the AI Discovery Scanner at /ai-discovery, the URL you enter is fetched server-side to perform the scan. We do not store the URLs scanned, the results, or any information about who initiated the scan. Each scan is ephemeral.
Contact Form
If you contact us through our contact page, we receive the information you voluntarily provide (name, email, message). This is used only to respond to your inquiry.
Blockchain and Public Data
Rootz operates on public blockchain networks (Polygon). Blockchain transactions are public by design. If you interact with our smart contracts or register a Digital Name, that transaction is recorded on-chain and is publicly visible. This is a fundamental property of blockchain technology, not a privacy issue we can control.
Our Corporate Digital Name (0xD36AAf65a91bB7dc69942cF6B6d1dBa4Ef171664) is intentionally public.
AI Discovery Standard
Data published at /.well-known/ai and related endpoints (/ai/knowledge.json, /ai/feed.json) is intentionally public and machine-readable. This is the purpose of the AI Discovery Standard — to make organizational information accurately available to AI agents. The standard is licensed under CC-BY-4.0.
Third-Party Services
This website does not embed third-party scripts, social media widgets, or advertising networks. We use Google Workspace for email (subject to Google's Privacy Policy).
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Given that we collect essentially no personal data, we don't anticipate significant changes.
