Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Rootz website (rootz.global) and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services. These Terms are between you and Rootz Corp ("Rootz," "we," "us").

1. Services

Rootz provides:

  • Informational website — Content about Data Wallets, Digital Names, Data Manufacturing, and related technologies
  • AI Discovery Scanner — A tool that scans websites for AI readability and provides a grade
  • AI Discovery Generator — A tool that helps create ai.json discovery files
  • AI Discovery Standard — An open specification for machine-readable website identity
  • Blockchain services — Digital Name registration and on-chain data verification on Polygon

2. AI Discovery Standard

The AI Discovery Standard specification is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY-4.0). You are free to implement the standard on your own website, share it, and adapt it, provided you give appropriate credit.

The standard is vendor-neutral and not controlled by any single entity.

3. Scanner and Tools

The AI Discovery Scanner and Generator are provided "as is" for informational purposes. Specifically:

  • Scanner grades are automated assessments and may not reflect the complete state of a website
  • Grades are not endorsements, certifications, or guarantees
  • Results should not be relied upon as legal, technical, or compliance advice
  • We may change scoring criteria at any time as the standard evolves

You agree not to abuse the scanner by automated mass-scanning, scraping results, or using it to harass or defame other websites.

4. Blockchain Transactions

If you interact with Rootz smart contracts on the Polygon blockchain (including registering a Digital Name or recording on the AI Discovery registry):

  • Blockchain transactions are irreversible — they cannot be undone, refunded, or reversed
  • You are responsible for your own wallet security and transaction accuracy
  • Gas fees are determined by the network and are non-refundable
  • On-chain data is publicly visible by design

5. Intellectual Property

Rootz trademarks: The Rootz name, logo, "Knowledge Starts at Origin," "Data with Origin," "In the Future Everything has a Wallet," and related marks are trademarks of Rootz Corp. You may not use them without permission.

Open standard: The AI Discovery Standard specification is CC-BY-4.0. The scanner tool and website code are proprietary.

Your content: If you implement the AI Discovery Standard on your website, you retain full ownership of your data. The standard defines a format, not a license to your content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the scanner to perform denial-of-service attacks against third-party websites
  • Scrape or bulk-download content from rootz.global
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with Rootz or the AI Discovery Standard
  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rootz Corp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use our services.

Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (which, for free services, is zero).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
